Two types of adhesives are used in Shoe manufacturing industry

TYPE A Water Base adhesive which is also called Latex [liquid form of rubber] and is available in

1. Pure form 

2. Modified form

TYPE B Solvent Base Adhesive which has four further categories

1. Rubber Solution – It is a natural rubber [solid rubber] base solution and is locally called Kutcha Solution.

2. Contact Adhesive – It is Chloroprene (rubber) base adhesive and is locally known as Cemented Solution or Pukka Solution.  

3. Graft Adhesive – It is Chloroprene/MMA base adhesive and is locally known as TPR Solution.

4. PU Adhesive – It is Polyurethane (PU) base adhesive and is locally known as Goli Wala Solution.
